Cleveland Guardians star Jose Ramirez continues to be underrated by many in the MLB industry.
It doesn’t matter: year after year, he goes out there and performs.
That’s it: he is not very talkative, and he doesn’t play in a huge market.
That’s all irrelevant, because he does the job he is paid for to perfection.
J-Ram is seeing the results of his hard work this year in the form of awards.
Yes, it was a bit disappointing that he wasn’t among the three AL MVP finalists after almost posting a 40-40 campaign, but at least the league recognized his obvious offensive gifts with his fifth Silver Slugger award.
“José continues to make his case for Cooperstown. For the fifth time in his career, Hosey has been named an American League Silver Slugger,” the Guardians posted on X.

Ramirez is, even if he retired today, already a Guardians Hall of Famer.
He continues to rack up accolades and recognitions to strengthen his National Baseball Hall of Fame case, though, and this award definitely helps his case.
There aren’t many third basemen in the history of the game with five or more Silver Sluggers, and Ramirez is one of them.
He earned it fair and square after slashing a cool .279/.335/.537 with 39 homers (tying a career-high), 41 stolen bases, 114 runs, 118 RBI and a .872 OPS.
It is one of his finest seasons ever, and shows why he should get more credit and recognition than he receives.
Ramirez is a bonafide star, and he was comfortably the best third baseman in the American League this year.
