The Cleveland Guardians won again on Tuesday night, and are now in possession of the best record in the American League at 37-18.
We are running short of adjectives to describe Stephen Vogt’s squad: they are relentless, deep, powerful, versatile, and determined, among many other things.
Many players have contributed to Cleveland’s success this year, but two of them have been particularly hot in the month of May: utilityman David Fry and third baseman Jose Ramirez.
The league’s official Twitter account praised that duo and highlighted some of their impressive stats.
“The @CleGuardians are 18-8 in May and currently sit atop the AL standings. The hitting tandem of David Fry and José Ramírez has been a massive part of that success,” they wrote.

Those who were waiting on the Guardians to cool off after an incredible start might want to sit down, because they look stronger and better than ever in May.
They have been led by Fry and Ramirez this month, in addition to their marvelous bullpen.
Fry is slashing .396/.529/.755 with six home runs in May.
He also has stolen three bases and boasts an elite 12/11 BB/K ratio in 19 games in the period.
Ramirez has been just as hot, if not more: in 26 May games, he is slashing .296/.375/.704 with 11 home runs and seven doubles.
Just like Fry, he has more walks (13) than strikeouts (12).
When opposing pitchers face one of them, the other is waiting patiently not long after.
Those two have been the reason behind Cleveland’s success this month and deserve all the credit and recognition in the world.
