Playing baseball requires certain equipment: bats, balls, gloves, helmets, batting gloves, uniforms, and much more.
Many young kids don’t have access to this equipment, which in some cases and depending on the item, can be really expensive.
It’s important to provide support for these kids in need, because some of them can be the stars of tomorrow.
If they don’t have the right equipment, they might not develop their skills as smoothly and they may lose their chance of making it in baseball.
This is why the Cleveland Guardians went to work and partnered with the Pitch In For Baseball & Softball organization to make a sizable donation.

The organization donated $21,000 worth of equipment to kids in Bani, Dominican Republic.
Wilson and the Guardians were behind the initiative.
More than 200 kids benefitted from the donation.
Bani happens to be Jose Ramirez’s hometown.
He took the time to thanks Pitch In, Wilson, and the Guardians for such a generous donation to his hometown.
Maybe the next Jose Ramirez is there in Bani and hasn’t thrived to this point because he didn’t have a quality glove, or good cleats.
Ramirez is known for getting involved with the community, particularly helping kids achieve their dream.
He was once a little kid, full of dreams and eager to pursue baseball as a career.
That’s definitely not easy, but he has achieved great things.
If he can, others can.
They just need to have the right mindset; and good equipment, of course, also doesn’t hurt.
