The Cleveland Guardians will start their 2024 season playing against the Oakland Athletics at the Oakland Coliseum.
They will have a couple of series after that and then will return home on April 8.
That will be a special day in Cleveland: not only will the Guardians have their home opener against the Chicago White Sox, but there will also be a unique event.
A total solar eclipse will take place in the city in the afternoon, something that hasn’t happened since 1806.
As you can see, it’s a unique event, and the city is preparing to receive some visitors.
There will be a logistics nightmare, and because of that, the team still hasn’t been able to schedule the start time for the game.

That’s all we know so far: the game won’t be before 5:10 p.m., local time, but there are still things to decide before the team is ready to set a start time.
We do know that the game will take place that day: there are, as of Wednesday afternoon, no plans to postpone it.
There is a lot of hope surrounding the 2024 Guardians: fans believe that, with another bat or two, this team can compete like it did in 2022.
There are also several prospects who are close to being MLB-ready and could have an impact this year.
If things break right, Cleveland has a chance of returning to the postseason.
