The Cleveland Guardians reported to Goodyear, Arizona this week to begin Spring Training and kick off their quest to win the American League Central for a third year in a row. It has been a quiet offseason up to this point as the front office has opted not to make any big splashes in free agency or spring training, but there are plenty of reasons for excitement anyway.
Both the lineup and the pitching staff will be counting on young internal options to take the next steps in their progression and help this team get to the next level.
Young potential stars such as Gavin Williams, Cade Smith, CJ Kayfus, George Valera, Chase DeLauter, and Kyle Manzardo all certainly have another notch they can go up, which is why this fan base has every reason to be excited about the 2026 season.
In an effort to generate a little more excitement, the Guardians recently shared their Spring Training hype video on X. The video showed nothing more than plenty of smiling faces as all the Guardians got acquainted and stretched out for another beautiful day of baseball.
“Great to see these smiling faces, we reckon,” Guardians posted.

Little videos like this really get the blood flowing and are some of the first reminders that baseball is right around the corner. The smell of the dirt and the grass, the sounds of gloves popping and bats cracking, and clips of guys being dudes is what Spring Training is all about.
We’re sure to see a lot more videos like this over the coming weeks, except maybe next time we’ll get to see the players in action a little bit.
There are a lot of things this team needs to figure out before the season starts, but for now, it’s just about knocking off that rust and enjoying the fact that baseball is back.
