Spring training is mere weeks away, which means the regular season won’t be far behind. The Cleveland Guardians are entering 2026 with some well-earned optimism, even though some critics might be skeptical about their potential.
It’s an exciting time to be a Guardians fan. The team is looking for a third straight AL Central title to add to a run of divisional dominance, and franchise cornerstone Jose Ramirez is secured for the long haul thanks to his recent contract extension.
As the latest bit of good news, the Guardians have announced their official 2026 regular season schedule, with times and broadcast details.
“Can you believe the regular season is right around the corner? Announcing our finalized 2026 regular season game times and broadcast schedule,” the Guardians posted on X.

Opening Day for Cleveland will be Thursday, March 26, at 10:10 p.m. at the Seattle Mariners. The home opener is set for Friday, April 3, at 4:10 p.m. against the Chicago White Sox.
The All-Star Break runs from July 13-16. The 162-game slate wraps up on Sunday, Sept. 27, with a 3:10 p.m. start at the Kansas City Royals.
Among the early highlights is a four-game series at the Detroit Tigers from May 18-21. Last season, the Guardians trailed the Tigers by as many as 15.5 games at one point, and by 11 games during September, before staging a historic rally to win the AL Central. However, the Tigers got their revenge by winning the AL Wild Card series between the teams, setting the stage for some spirited rivalry games this year.
Cleveland should remain a contender despite the perception that it did not do enough this offseason to improve an offense that ranked among the worst in MLB in 2025. The Guardians will instead rely on an infusion of young hitters, with Chase DeLauter and Travis Bazzana joining George Valera, C.J. Kayfus, and Kyle Manzardo in a lineup led by All-Stars Ramirez and Steven Kwan.
That hopefully better attack, along with an emerging rotation and a deep bullpen, should make for another exciting season under two-time Manager of the Year Stephen Vogt as the Guardians seek to end a championship drought that dates back to 1948.
