Cleveland Guardians fans are witnessing history right now.
Jose Ramirez continues to show he is one of the greatest players in franchise history.
More than that, he’s already one of the best third basemen to ever play the game.
That was proven by this year’s voting for AL MVP.
“Jose Ramirez is the only third baseman ever to place top 5 in MVP voting 6 times. Mike Schmidt and Brooks Robinson both did it 5 times,” MLBfeeelit wrote on X.

However, Ramirez is unlikely to win the award for the first time.
He doesn’t have the overall statistics of New York Yankees star Aaron Judge, and he didn’t hit as many home runs as Seattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh.
Nevertheless, Ramirez has arguably been the most consistent player in the American League for the past five years.
Fans and teammates always know what they’re going to get from him, and while he can go through a slump like anyone else, he’s the type of player who finds a way to make an impact on the game.
He’s an elite defender who can do it all at the plate, and his ability to steal bases is an added threat.
Ramirez is on pace to become the all-time leader in multiple categories in Cleveland history.
While he’s showing no signs of slowing down and should continue to be one of the best players in the game for years to come, it’s a shame to see that the front office hasn’t done right by him by giving him the supporting cast he needs to take this team to a championship.
Hopefully, that will finally change this offseason.
