The Cleveland Guardians are always looking to add young talent to their farm system.
With that in mind, it’s not a surprise to see that they’re often involved with top international prospects.
According to Guardians Prospective, Cleveland is the favorite to sign outfielder Sebastian Espinoza.
The native of Venezuela is training at High Prospect Academy with Luis Diaz.
He won’t be eligible to join an MLB organization until the 2026 international signing day.

That day is coming up, so, barring a shocking turn of events, it’s hard to imagine that something might get in the way of his arrival.
The Guardians could use some help in the outfield.
They’re reportedly considering trading away All-Star Steven Kwan, and while they have plenty of young players who could make up for that loss, it will be easier said than done.
Perhaps, one day, Espinoza will be an All-Star at that position.
Of course, he has plenty of hurdles to clear in his professional development.
Most prospects never make it to Major League Baseball, and those who do often do so with a different organization than their first one.
Then again, the Guardians have a long history of finding and developing prospects, so it’s easy to get excited about anyone they acquire.
