The Arizona Fall League serves as a proving ground for top minor league prospects from all 30 MLB organizations.
The off-season league brings together six teams competing annually in Arizona, providing young players critical opportunities to develop against high-level competition.
Among the Cleveland Guardians’ contingent this year, outfielder Joe Lampe has emerged as one of the early standouts.
Lampe opened the AFL season with strong results at the plate and has maintained that momentum through his first 10 games.
His production has positioned him among the league’s most impressive performers during the early weeks of competition.
“Joe Lampe got off to a hot start at the plate after making his fall debut, and he’s only continued to impress on offense as he gets more at-bats in the Fall League. The right-handed hitter is currently slashing .381/.567/.619 with an OPS of 1.186 in 21 at-bats in 10 games. In Lampe’s most recent outing on Wednesday, he reached base twice and even recorded a solid RBI base hit in the seventh inning on the way to a win for his Surprise Saguaros,” Tommy Wild reported.
The 24-year-old outfielder spent the 2025 regular season primarily at Triple-A Columbus, where he posted a .231 batting average across 420 at-bats.
He recorded 97 hits while contributing 10 home runs and 63 RBIs.
Lampe also demonstrated his speed with 19 stolen bases, showcasing the athleticism that makes him a versatile prospect.
Drafted in 2022 out of Arizona State, Lampe has moved through various levels of the Guardians’ system.
His assignments this season included time with the Columbus Clippers and Akron RubberDucks before joining the Surprise Saguaros for fall league play.
Cleveland values his combination of defensive ability and baserunning tools as he continues developing at the upper minor league levels.
His current AFL performance suggests significant progress at the plate.
If Lampe maintains this trajectory, he could position himself for a meaningful role with the organization in the coming seasons.
