The Cleveland Guardians secured a big win on Saturday night.
Notably, plenty of that had to do with some heroics from Steven Kwan.
Kwan dove to make an incredible acrobatic catch to rob Josh Naylor of a potential game-tying hit in the top of the sixth inning, and ultimately, the Guardians held on to win 4-3.
When asked about that play, Guardians star Gavin Williams admitted that it was one of the best he had ever seen.
However, he also acknowledged that it may not have been among the best plays he’s seen Kwan make:
Gavin Williams: "Unbelievable. I've seen him make a lot of good plays, and that might be up there in the top two. I probably wouldn't say it's number two either. It was a pretty insane play." https://t.co/UIA1L7nqct

Kwan is one of the most underrated players in the game right now.
Granted, his offense hasn’t always been there this season, but his defense is simply spectacular.
The Guardians held onto Kwan at a time when he was being linked to multiple teams, giving the fans a breath of fresh air because it meant they may never have had any plans of moving on from him.
Then again, his situation with the team is far from resolved.
While he’s still under contract for the next two years, he’s clearly earned a big-time contract extension, and both parties are still reportedly far apart in negotiations.
These types of plays show why the Guardians need to go against what they usually do and actually give him the type of money he wants and deserves.
Otherwise, trade talks will most likely surface once again in the offseason, and the outside noise will get harder to ignore by the year.
