The Cleveland Guardians are always on the lookout for more talent.
They’ve found some success with their Venezuelan prospects in recent years, so they have no intention whatsoever of changing their approach.
That’s why it’s not much of a surprise to see that they’re keeping tabs on another Venezuelan hurler.
As reported by Guardians Prospective on X, the Guardians are leading the way-too-early race to sign RHP prospect Jesus Rojas.
Cleveland #Guardians are favorites to sign RHP prospect Jesus Rojas out of Falcon, Venezuela.

The Falcon native is currently training at the Pitchers Development Academy with Luis Carlos Paz.
Per the report, he won’t be eligible to sign his contract until the 1/15/26 International signing day.
Of course, a lot can happen from now until the day of the signing, so the fans shouldn’t get ahead of themselves, but the Guardians must love their chances of getting him to put pen to paper.
The Guardians have always had one of the best pitching development systems in all of baseball.
This team has made a living out of finding and developing diamonds in the rough.
They’ve usually been patient with them, sometimes to a fault, but it has worked out more often than not.
It will be a long while until we get to see Jesus Rojas take the mound in the majors, if ever, and he may not even do it with the Guardians, even if they wind up signing him early next year.
Still, it’s always nice to watch a young player’s journey and growth in the league, and he’ll be a name to keep a close eye on.
