The Cleveland Guardians are busy trying to complete a stunning comeback in the standings and secure a spot in the 2025 postseason.
It’s much easier said than done, though, and there is a long way to go before the defining stages, but as of Monday afternoon, Cleveland is just half a game removed from the third Wild Card.
While the MLB roster focuses on that goal, everybody in the organization tries to work to improve every day and complete new objectives and milestones.
With this in mind, the Guardians announced a series of promotions throughout the organizational ladder, rewarding solid performance and giving these players a new challenge in their careers.
Top prospect Travis Bazzana will go from Double-A Akron to Triple-A Columbus alongside catcher Cooper Ingle and right-handed pitchers Tommy Mace and Ross Carver.

Bazzana usually gets the most attention in the Guardians’ system, but Ingle and his 149 wRC+ in Double-A had also done more than enough to earn his promotion to the majors’ doorstep.
One of the Guardians’ hottest prospects, first baseman Ralphy Velazquez, will now try his luck in the upper minors, as he will go from High-A to Double-A.
Catcher Jacob Cozart, infielder Christian Knapczyk, and pitcher Jack Jasiak will join Velazquez in Akron.

A group of six players will now show off their talent in High-A Lake County: pitchers Rafe Schlesinger, Luis Flores, and Conner Whittaker, infielders Jeffrey Mercedes and Garrett Howe, and catcher Bennett Thompson.

Many fans are paying close attention to the Guardians’ big league team and for good reason, but big things are happening down in the farm, too.
