The Cleveland Guardians are not that far behind in the AL Wild Card race.
That’s why, even if they make a couple of moves or part with some of their players before the trade deadline, they shouldn’t even consider moving Jose Ramirez.
Nevertheless, that doesn’t mean other teams won’t be interested.
With that in mind, the IKE Brewers Podcast proposed that the Milwaukee Brewers should give up one of their many valuable shortstop prospects to get their hands on the superstar third baseman.
Jose Ramirez is under contract through 2028 and is the exact type of player who could give the Brewers a legitimate World Series Window.
Milwaukee has a surplus of SS prospects they could build a deal around.

The Guardians might not be the most competitive team this season, but they’re not that far from being a true contender.
That would all go down the drain if they moved on from their best player.
Ramirez is arguably the best third baseman in the game, and it would take a massive haul for the Guardians to even consider trading him.
He also has a no-trade clause, so he would have to sign off on any potential deal.
The Guardians have one of the easiest schedules to close out the season.
As such, they shouldn’t be looking to throw in the towel.
If anything, they need to add firepower.
