One of the best pitchers in the modern era will finally get to where he always belonged.
Former Cleveland Guardians hurler C.C. Sabathia will be inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame.
He was a first-ballot selection, but just like in his career, his road to Cooperstown was full of challenges.

His car reportedly broke down on the way to Cooperstown, and what was initially a family ride turned out to be an eight-hour adventure.
Even so, it will all be worth it.
Sabathia was a dominant force when he was at his best.
He had six All-Star appearances and even won the American League Cy Young award back in 2007.
He helped the New York Yankees win the World Series in 2009, even getting the nod as the ALCS MVP.
Playing for the Guardians, Milwaukee Brewers, and Yankees, Sabathia amassed a whopping 251 wins across 19 years in the majors.
Sabathia also had to battle his own demons to get to the mountaintop, and while it wasn’t always easy, he still managed to weather the storm and have a memorable career.
He’s mostly remembered for his days with the Bronx Bombers, since he was in his prime in New York and was instrumental in their final World Series title.
Even so, the Guardians took him in the first round of the 1998 MLB Draft and developed him for years before he ultimately became the legend he turned out to be.
It was a bumpy road, but he’s finally home.
