The Cleveland Guardians’ brightest young star is making strides in the minors.
Travis Bazzana picked up right where he left off before missing time with an injury.
As reported by Guardians Prospective on X, the No. 1 overall pick from the 2024 MLB Draft is 3-for-8 (.375) since he returned from the injured list.

The infielder missed almost two months with an oblique injury.
Testing showed that the 22-year-old suffered a strain, and he was eventually sent to the Arizona Complex League to rehab.
Such injuries usually take 8-10 weeks to heal, so it was nice to see him return to the field without any discomfort or setbacks.
Bazzana struggled earlier in the season, slashing .238/.347/.393 with one home run, three triples, 12 walks and 27 strikeouts in 21 games April.
He then drove up those numbers to .279/.392/.512 with two home runs, four doubles, seven walks and just 12 strikeouts in 12 games in May.
Bazzana is the team’s No. 1 prospect and the No. 16 prospect in baseball, according to Pipeline.
He was projected to be called up at some point this season, but after missing that much time, the organization may want to take things slowly, so it might not be until 2026 to see him in the majors.
