The Cleveland Guardians are one of the most historic franchises in sports.
That’s why it’s not a surprise to see them near the top in total All-Star selections.
As shown by Boardroom on X, Cleveland has the eighth-most selections for the All-Star Game.
After the 2025 All-Star Game, it has 267 selections, 19 more than the Detroit Tigers (248).
Only the New York Yankees (448), St. Louis Cardinals (330), Los Angeles Dodgers (327), Boston Red Sox (318), Atlanta Braves (283), Cincinnati Reds (279) and San Francisco Giants (273) have more All-Star selections than the Guardians.

This season, they had two AL All-Stars, Jose Ramirez and Steven Kwan.
Ramirez has posted MVP-caliber numbers, and if it weren’t for New York Yankees superstar Aaron Judge, perhaps he could be the leading candidate in the American League this season.
Now, the third baseman will have an even bigger responsibility on his shoulders.
The Guardians will resume play with plenty of question marks, but they will play most of their games against sub-.500 teams.
They’re not that far behind in the race for an AL Wild Card, and while everybody else will also have to step up, having a player of Ramirez’s caliber gives the team hope.
As for Kwan, he’s been mentioned in trade rumors lately, but it’s hard to believe the Guardians will consider moving him.
