The Cleveland Guardians suffered through an absolutely brutal stretch in June.
They fell in the AL playoff race and looked like a team on the verge of disaster.
However, after sweeping the Houston Astros, things might be turning around.
As pointed out by Nick Camino on X, the Guardians’ next 20 games will be against teams with a losing record, some of which have been at the bottom of the standings all season.
With that in mind, Camino believes that going 15-5 during that stretch could put the Guardians back in the playoff mix.
Following a 3-game sweep in Houston over the Astros, the #Guardians next 20 games are against clubs that currently have losing records.

The Guardians face the Chicago White Sox four times.
Then, they face the Athletics three times, the Baltimore Orioles four times, and they’ll have three-game series against the Kansas City Royals, Colorado Rockies and Minnesota Twins.
It won’t be easy, but the Guardians’ schedule for the rest of the season won’t be as difficult as what they just had to get through.
Fewer than 25 of their final 71 games will be against teams with a record of .500 or better.
They’re on the fringes of the race for the final AL Wild Card spot, and some teams usually throw in the towel after the trade deadline.
Just last week, the Guardians looked doomed and likely to go through a panic sale.
Now, they need to make the most of the opportunity they have in front of them.
