The Cleveland Guardians aren’t currently enjoying a productive stretch of the season.
They have been battered and beaten in recent games, and are fresh off being swept this past weekend by the Seattle Mariners.
In the middle of the chaos, however, one name stands out.
You don’t need to be a Guardians expert to realize we are talking about third baseman Jose Ramirez.
J-Ram’s consistent production has been an oasis in the middle of the desert that is Cleveland’s offense at the moment.
Despite the hitting deficiencies on the team, what Ramirez has done can’t be ignored.
In fact, fans are well aware of his stellar season, another one in a brilliant career.
He is, as of Monday afternoon, the leading vote-getter among American League third basemen for the upcoming All-Star Game.

There are still ten days left of the initial phase of the voting process, and Ramirez deserves to be at the top of the list.
He will probably defend the hot corner in the Midsummer Classic, as he has done many times.
MLB announced on Monday that the Guardians star has 968,754 votes so far.
Only Aaron Judge and Cal Raleigh have more than him among position players in the junior circuit.
The 32-year-old star infielder is hitting a robust .324/.385/.543 with 13 home runs and 20 stolen bases in 2025.
His 158 wRC+ would be one of the highest outputs in his career, and he has pitched in 15 doubles, 43 runs scored, and 34 RBI.
At times, he looks like the only competent hitter on the Guardians’ lineup, which speaks volumes about the current level of his teammates.
It has been another excellent campaign for the Guardians slugger.
