The Cleveland Guardians have been one of the best teams in the first half, not only in the American League but in MLB as a whole.
They boast a brilliant 53-31 record and comfortably lead their division.
To achieve such an amazing record, they must have some excellent players.
Third baseman Jose Ramirez and left fielder Steven Kwan certainly qualify, and they have carried a surprisingly solid offense with their play.
They have been so good that not only they will be playing in the All-Star Game this upcoming July 16, but they will also be starting.
“José Ramírez and Steven Kwan have been selected as starters on the American League All-Star team,” Guardians inside Zack Meisel tweeted.

More than selected, both players were voted in by fans all over the world.
J-Ram was the leading vote-getter among third baseman in the junior circuit, and Kwan will join New York Yankees stars Aaron Judge and Juan Soto in the AL outfield.
Ramirez is hitting a rock-solid .274/.328/.545 with 23 home runs, 76 RBI, and a .872 OPS.
In other words, he is performing as well as he always has, perhaps even better.
Kwan, on the other hand, is close to becoming qualified to lead MLB stats after he missed 23 games in May with a hamstring strain.
He has an excellent .360/.417/.521 line with 49 runs and a .938 OPS at the top of the lineup, consistently getting on base in front of Ramirez, Josh Naylor, David Fry, Daniel Schneemann, and other top hitters.
The two stars will be representing the Guardians in front of fans from every corner of the world.
