The Cleveland Guardians might be trying to fend off mediocrity in 2025, but that doesn’t mean the future isn’t bright.
Quite the contrary, in fact. They boast one of the most promising farm systems in baseball, with stars all over the diamond and some exciting young arms.
MLB revealed the AL and NL rosters for the All-Star Futures Game, which is part of All-Star Weekend and will boast some of the top prospects in baseball.
Of the 50 players included, 31 are part of MLB Pipeline’s Top 100 list.
The Guardians will have two players on the roster.
“The 2025 All-Star Futures Roster is set and OF C.J. Kayfus and LHP Parker Messick are on the list,” GuardsInsider posted on X.

Kayfus and Messick have earned their place in the game, to be played on July 12 at Truist Park.
For those who want to watch the Guardians’ future stars, it will be televised by MLB Network and MLB.TV at 4 p.m. ET.
Kayfus opened the season in Double-A and quickly earned a promotion to Triple-A after hitting .364/.475/.591 (210 wRC+) in 80 plate appearances.
In Columbus, he has posted a brilliant .303/.391/.568 slash line with 10 home runs in 50 games.
Between the two levels, Kayfus has 34 extra-base hits.
Messick is sporting a 3.71 ERA with 83 strikeouts in 68 innings.
That ERA is not spectacular, but keeping in mind the hitter-friendly nature of Triple-A, the number becomes more attractive.
