Two members of the Cleveland Guardians roster were named Gold Glovers late on Sunday: both Andrés Giménez and Steven Kwan captured their third consecutive awards.
Now, it’s time to focus on offensive excellence.
MLB revealed, on Monday, the finalists for the Silver Slugger awards.
The Silver Slugger recognizes offensive prowess in every position.
One player per position wins in each league, and the Guardians have a couple of men among the finalists.
“These dudes mash. Congrats to José and Josh on being named Silver Slugger Award finalists!,” the team announced via X.

It’s not surprising to see Jose Ramirez and Josh Naylor among the finalists.
The former had one of his best seasons in recent memory, slashing .279/.335/.537 with a .872 OPS.
He fell just one home run shy of his first 40-40 season, instead finishing with 39-41.
He also hit 39 doubles, scored 114 runs and drove in 118.
Ramirez will be going against Alex Bregman and Rafael Devers, and he stands a good chance of being named as the winner of the award.
Naylor took a slight step back in the OPS department in 2024 in comparison to what he did last year (.776 to .843), but he stayed relatively healthy all year long and achieved career-highs in home runs (31) and RBI (108).
He was an offensive force, especially in the first half, and will be competing with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Carlos Santana for the prestigious individual accolade.
He is not as likely to win as J-Ram, but you never know.
The fact the Guardians offense managed to get to Silver Slugger nominees speaks well of the unit and its performance this year.
