The Cleveland Guardians are always in need of consistent middle-of-the-order mashers.
Kyle Manzardo has been that guy for them this year, with six home runs, 16 RBI, and a very solid .866 OPS.
He has been on fire in the last four games, regaining the form he showed in the first few games of the season.
“In his last 4 games, including today, Kyle Manzardo is batting .333 with 2 HR’s and 4 RBI. He has a least one hit in each game for a modest 4-game hitting streak. He’s providing the consistency and power that the Guards need in the middle of the lineup,” Al Pawlowski posted on X.

That post was sent right before Manzardo gave the Guardians the win against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sunday with a sac fly in the tenth inning.
He has five RBI over his last four games.
Manzardo was in a bit of a rough patch before those four games, though.
From April 8 to the 15th, he hit .050 with a 68 wRC+.
That skid caused his batting average to dip below .200 until Sunday.
He went 2-for-4 in the finale against the Bucs, increasing that average to .212.
The main takeaway is that despite the low batting average, Manzardo is contributing walks and extra-base hits to an offense that needs them badly.
He looks well on his way to finally establishing himself as a consistent power threat in the middle of the Guardians lineup.
It took some patience and a lot of work, but Manzardo is finally making that 2023 trade look extremely lopsided to the Guardians’ side.
