At long last, the Cleveland Guardians will play a baseball game on Saturday.
The last time they took the field was on October 19th, when they lost Game 5 of the American League Championship Series 5-2 against the New York Yankees.
After a few months of trades, sneaky good signings, rumors, and other offseason-related stuff, Guardians baseball is officially back.
Yes, they surely played some intra-squad games in the last few days, but Saturday will mark the first time in about four months that they play some sort of competitive ball as a team.
At 3:05 pm ET, the Guardians will open their Cactus League calendar against the Cincinnati Reds at the Goodyear Ballpark in Goodyear, AZ.
There is a nice surprise for fans, too: they will be able to tune in for free via Guardians TV.

All that is needed to do to watch this game is enter CLEGuardians.tv, in case you were wondering.
It’s the same streaming service the organization has made available for $99.99 per year.
Right-hander Triston McKenzie, who had a rather forgettable campaign last year for Cleveland, will take the ball for the spring opener.
He posted a 5.11 ERA in 75.2 frames last year amid a control/command crisis, possibly stemming from the fact he is pitching with a damaged elbow ligament.
The talented right-hander has trained hard during the off-season and will be ready to show off the results of his work on Saturday.
He will be facing young Reds phenom Hunter Greene.
For the first time in months, all teams will be in play on Saturday.
Our national pastime is officially here.
