The Cleveland Guardians might not have the most power in their lineup, but they have one of the best players in all of baseball.
OF Steven Kwan has emerged as a legitimate superstar, and while not many people would write his name on their preseason MVP ballots, he should be right up there in the second tier when you look at his numbers.
That’s why MLB Network recently listed him among the ten best outfielders in all of Major League Baseball, giving him an ‘elite’ grade and the No. 8 spot.
Fun fact: Steven Kwan has won a Gold Glove in every season he’s been a professional.

Kwan’s meteoric start to the 2024 season was unsustainable, and he wasn’t going to hit .400 for an entire season, but he was still one of the league leaders in contact.
He finished the campaign with a .292/.368/.425 slash line, adding a 131 wRC+ and a .793 OPS.
He also showed some power by hitting 14 home runs, three more than he had in 305 games between 2022-23.
Kwan also ranked in the 95th percentile in both whiff% and chase%.
If that hitting prowess wasn’t enough, he’s also outstanding on defense.
He’s won a Gold Glove in each and every single one of his seasons as a professional.
He’s in the 99th percentile for arm value and the 85th percentile for outs above average.
The Los Gatos native is just 27 years old, so he’s only going to get better over time.
If he can add some more home runs to his already impressive game, it wouldn’t be much of a surprise to see him climb all the way to the top 5 in next season’s rankings.
