The Cleveland Guardians are looking to get a jump start to next season.
That’s why they were one of the teams in attendance at Lou Trivino’s workout.
According to Pat Ragazzo of Sports Illustrated, the Guardians, Yankees, Giants, Reds, Royals, Cubs, Dodgers, and Giants were left quite impressed afterward.

Got his sinker up to 94…

The righty reportedly hit 94 mph on his sinker, slightly below his 97 mph career average.
Trivino drew a reputation for his ability to get ground balls and his velocity, but he’s been hit hard by injuries lately.
He had a 1.66 ERA in 21.2 IP when he was acquired by the Yankees in 2022.
Unfortunately, he suffered a shoulder injury that required Tommy John surgery in 2023.
Additionally, elbow inflammation and another shoulder issue prevented him from returning to the Majors last season.
He had 11.0 IP in the minors while working his way back, but the injuries eventually forced him to shut things down.
Given his current situation, he will be a high-risk/high-reward pickup.
His history of injuries is a major concern.
However, the Guardians have already gone through something similar with Matthew Boyd, and they were able to help him flourish after his surgery.
If the price is right, he could end up being one of the biggest steals of the offseason.
