MLB Network is helping us get through these slow off-season days with some exciting content.
This time, they put together a list with the ten most electrifying moments of 2024, in a season that was full of them.
Just as you would expect, Freddie Freeman’s walk-off home run in Game 1 of the World Series tops the list.
The Cleveland Guardians, however, had three signature postseason moments last year, two of which are on the list.
“Game 5 of the ALDS: Tie game with the bases loaded and the unanimous AL Cy Young Award winner on the mound… Lane Thomas said NO PROBLEM. His grand slam for the @CleGuardians lands on our Electrifying Moments of 2024 countdown at #9,” they wrote on X and added the clip of the unforgettable blast against Tarik Skubal in the winner-takes-all Game 5.

Thomas, a trade acquisition ahead of the deadline, had already gone yard in Game 1 against the Tigers.
This one was as clutch as they come, though.
Then, checking in at number five, MLB Network had David Fry’s walk-off homer against the Yankees in Game 3 of the AL Championship Series to keep the hopes intact and avoid a 0-3 hole.
“It was a high Fry ball for the @CleGuardians last October in the ALCS 🍟David Fry’s walk-off home run in Game 3 comes in at #5 on our Electrifying Moments of 2024 countdown,” they wrote.

Fry’s long ball came just an inning after another key home run that, frankly, should have been on the list: Jhonkensy Noel’s game-tying home run against Luke Weaver in the ninth inning.
All things considered, and even though the Guardians didn’t win the ultimate prize, they gave fans many memories that will last forever.
