We have discussed the Cleveland Guardians pitching time and time again.
The conclusion is always the same: they need to add two or three quality starters for the 2025 campaign in order to maximize their chances of making an impact.
Now, it’s time to take a look at how and where they are regarding position players across the organization.
“An “extremely early” look at potential 2025 position player placements to start the season across the entire Cleveland #Guardians organization down to the Arizona Complex League. All players currently with organization as of 12/03/24,” Guardians Prospective posted on X.

The Guards have some impressive position player depth as the graphic shows.
Not only they have a strong core in the big leagues already, but they also boast multiple guys who could be impactful MLB players in the future, both in the higher and lower levels.
Besides the usual stars in MLB (Jose Ramirez, Josh Naylor, Lane Thomas, etc.) Cleveland has future stars already in the majors, such as Kyle Manzardo, Jhonkensy Noel, Gabriel Arias and more.
Then, you take a look in Triple-A and see future contributors in Juan Brito, Kody Huff, Petey Halpin, Angel Martinez, and of course Chase DeLauter.
The players in that group have a big chance of making their debut and help the Guardians in 2025 (except for Martinez who already knows what it’s like to play MLB games).
The Akron RubberDucks of Double-A have No. 1 pick Travis Bazzana, Dayan Frías, Angel Genao, Khalil Watson and more, and you can find 2023 first-round pick Ralphy Velazquez and extraordinary outfield prospect duo Jaison Chourio and Alfonsín Rosario in High-A.
Even Low-A Lynchburg and the rookie level are filled with promising youngsters.
The future is bright in Cleveland when it comes to position players.
