The Cleveland Guardians are searching for roster upgrades like everybody else this offseason.
This team showed over this past season that it’s not far away from bringing home that ever-elusive World Series championship.
There may not be a ton of star power on the current roster, but it’s a deep roster that showed a ton of resiliency this past season.
One former general manager believes fans shouldn’t sleep on the fact that there is still one player on this team who is a future Hall of Famer, and the roster is in good hands as long as he is on it.
Jim Bowden wrote a piece for The Athletic highlighting his All-MLB team for 2024 and listing Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez on his roster.
He also highly praised the superstar and labeled him a future Hall of Famer.
“Jose Ramirez is expected to finish in the top five in the AL MVP voting for the fifth time in his career. He’s fundamentally sound and always hustles, even on routine groundouts. His intangibles are off the charts. In my opinion, he’s a future Hall of Famer.”
Ramirez still has work to do regarding his counting stats, but a few more years like the one he just had will go a long way toward Hall of Fame consideration.
The Guardians need to add some more thump to this lineup to help Ramirez out this offseason and give him a better chance of ultimately reaching the Hall.
