The Cleveland Guardians fell one series short of appearing in their first World Series since losing in 2016 to the Chicago Cubs.
Although the Guardians lost to the New York Yankees in the American League Championship Series, they proved they have what it takes to make a run at a title.
With a roster full of young talent, the Guardians appear like they will be back in contention for years to come.
Another young Guardians prospect could potentially make his pro debut next season after missing the 2024 season due to injury.
According to Guardians Prospective on ‘X,’ 17-year-old switch-hitting infield prospect Steven Cruz is back to work at the Guardians’ Dominican Academy.

Cruz signed with the Guardians early in 2024 but ended up missing the entire season due to a shoulder injury that required surgery.
Barring any setbacks or new injuries, it appears that Cruz will be making his pro debut in 2025 within the Guardians’ organization.
The Guardians have a young MLB roster already, and with even more young prospects coming up, the future looks bright for the team.
With the American League Central having three teams make the postseason in 2024, the Guardians will have to perform well in 2025 if they want to take the division title again.
The Guardians only have two World Series titles in franchise history, and they haven’t won one since 1948.
Cruz will be another name to watch next season to see if he develops as quickly as some of the other Guardians players on their MLB roster.
