The Cleveland Guardians and the New York Yankees will play an exciting and promising American League Championship Series starting on Monday in the Bronx.
Cleveland got there by beating the Detroit Tigers in the maximum five games in the Division Series, while the Yanks eliminated the Kansas City Royals in four.
The schedule for the ALCS is now out, and will include off days on Wednesday and Sunday, if the series makes it that far.
“Guardians-Yankees ALCS schedule: G1: 7:38pm ET on Monday in NY, G2: 7:38pm ET on Tuesday in NY, G3: 5:08pm ET on Thursday in CLE, G4: 8:08pm ET on Friday in CLE, G5: 8:08pm ET on Saturday in CLE, G6: 5:08pm ET on Monday in NY (or 7:38pm if NLCS is done), G7: 7:38pm ET on Tuesday in NY,” Guardians insider Zack Meisel posted on X.

The first two games will be on the Bronx, as will be the sixth and seventh games if they become necessary.
This is because the Yankees had the best record in the junior circuit and thus secured home-field advance through the AL playoffs.
After an off day on Wednesday, the two powerhouses will play three straight days, from Thursday to Saturday, at Progressive Field in Cleveland.
That will be a challenge for each team’s pitching staff, because managing workloads will become harder.
The series will return to the Bronx for Games 6 and 7 if both teams are alive by then.
For the first time in the 2024 postseason, both clubs will probably have to use a fourth starter: it could be Gavin Williams in Cleveland and Luis Gil on the Yankees.
Everything is set for a truly exciting matchup between the best teams in the American League.
