The Cleveland Guardians are not only one of the best squads in the league at the moment: they also have a bright future and a very solid farm system that received a boost with their decision to draft Travis Bazzana.
Additionally, their fans can take pride in the rich history of the organization, one that includes a chapter for left-hander CC Sabathia.
August 3 will be the day in which Sabathia becomes the 48th member of the Guardians Hall of Fame.
Before the induction ceremony, however, the team will host an exciting activity for fans that is directed to help raise money to benefit Guardians charities.
“Look who’s coming! Jim Thome will be joining CC for lunch on Saturday August 3rd along with several notable alumni including Charles Nagy, Kenny Lofton, Manny Ramirez, Carlos Baerga, Victor Martinez and former manager Mike Hargrove (all alumni in attendance subject to change),” CLE Inspires tweeted.

Fans can get tickets for the event at CLEGuardians.com/halloffameevent.
That is a particularly impressive roster of former starts that will be in attendance.
There will be a Q&A session with the newest member of the Guardians Hall of Fame, in which fans will be able to learn some of his experiences with the team and in the league.
He will be joined by some franchise legends and former teammates in those 2000s Guards.
The tickets for the event are not valid for the game taking place that day.
Sabathia had a brilliant career in Cleveland, including a Cy Young award and several postseasons.
He will be honored by his fans and enjoy his place among franchise greats.
