Against all odds, the Cleveland Guardians were able to finish off their stunning comeback on Saturday and officially erase an 0-2 deficit against the Chicago White Sox to move on to the Tampa Bay Rays in the ALCS. It will be a fitting matchup of the top two seeds in the American League as the Guardians aim to take the next step to end the league’s longest World Series drought while the Rays look to win their first.
The stars were out in full force on Saturday to watch the Guardians finish off the White Sox, and no star was bigger than Kansas City Chiefs tight end and proud Clevelander Travis Kelce. He was sitting front and center to witness his hometown team pull off the 2-0 win, and afterwards he had a big prediction for how the ALCS is going to go.
Camryn Justice of WEWS shared a clip of Kelce basking in the joy of the Guardians advancing. On the topic of the ALCS, Kelce unsurprisingly predicted his boys would advance to the World Series.
“The ALCS is ours baby. I can feel it. The energy in Cleveland(!) is electric right now. Shout out to everybody. Go Guards, baby, go Guards,” Kelce said.
Travis Kelce is ready to keep cheering on the #Guardians as they head to the ALCS.

He may be just a little biased, but with how the Guardians played over the last three games of this series, there are reasons to believe this team has what it takes to get past Tampa. That’s not to take anything away from the Rays, who have been resting up after completing an impressive sweep over the New York Yankees,
The beginning of the series is going to be a bit tough since Gavin Williams likely won’t be able to pitch until Game 3 or 4. He was absolutely sensational in Game 5 on Saturday and this team is going to need as many innings from him and Parker Messick as possible to get past the Rays.
Kelce was fortunate enough to be on a bye week so he could fly home for Game 5 and he’ll likely have to root for his Guardians from afar the rest of the way. Hopefully his energy can give this team another little boost as the Guardians continue on their quest for that elusive World Series title.
