The Cleveland Guardians are arguably the best team in the American League.
They are in a daily competition with the New York Yankees to see who has the best record in the junior circuit.
Cleveland’s 36-17 start has been historically great: every time they have won 36 of their first 53 games, they have gone to the World Series.
It’s too early for that, though.
For now, the team is trying to win as many contests as possible, and they have done that without Steven Kwan for a few days now and without Gavin Williams for the entire season to this date.
The left fielder and the starter, however, are getting close to a return.
“Steven Kwan will start in left field for Columbus tomorrow and play 6-8 innings, according to Vogt. Gavin Williams is expected to start for Columbus on Wednesday,” Guardians insider Mandy Bell tweeted.

Kwan recently suffered a hamstring strain, causing the team to temporarily lose its elite leadoff man.
The Guardians have survived in his absence, but they need him to return as soon as possible if they are going to keep fending off the Kansas City Royals in the Central.
Kwan was slashing an incredible .353/.407/.496 with a .903 OPS at the moment of getting hurt.
Williams, on the other hand, had an impressive showing last year as a rookie, with a 3.29 ERA in 82 innings.
During spring training, however, he suffered an elbow injury and has been battling against it ever since.
He is finally over the hump, and will start for the Guards’ Triple-A affiliate on Wednesday.
He is expected to need a few tuneup starts before re-joining the big league rotation, potentially next month.
