The Cleveland Guardians swept the Minnesota Twins on Sunday with a convincing 5-2 win.
In fact, the team is currently red-hot, winning six of their last seven games and showing a perfect balance between offense, starting pitching, and relief pitching.
All units are clicking since the team dropped three straight against the Chicago White Sox last weekend.
You can almost say they haven’t missed injured outfielder Steven Kwan, who went down in early May with a hamstring strain.
That, however, is not entirely true.
Even if they have played excellent baseball to this point (they became MLB’s fourth team to reach 30 wins on Sunday), they will need Kwan back if they want to take on the elite of the league.
Fortunately, the outfielder is trending closer to a return.
“Chris Antonetti said the hope is that Steven Kwan can begin his rehab assignment in the next 7-10 days,” Guardians insider Mandy Bell tweeted.

If he starts his rehab assignment in 7-10 days, it means he could be ready to return to the Guardians lineup in about two weeks if all goes well.
Kwan had a complete spring training and a magnificent start to the season, so he probably won’t need too many games in the minor leagues.
Before his injury, he was one of the best leadoff hitters in the American League, hitting a cool .353/.407/.496 with a .903 OPS and 28 runs scored in 32 games.
Kwan is not only a fantastic sparkplug at the top of the lineu butp, he is also a Gold Glove-caliber defender and a threat on the basepaths.
He is one of the most valuable Guardians this season, and his looming return will boost Cleveland’s chances.
