Jose Ramirez usually gets the most recognition among Cleveland Guardians players, and for good reason: he has been consistently great since 2016 and has contended for a couple of MVP awards.
He is still a star, too, even if he started off the season a bit cold.
J-Ram is slowly putting things together and showing his true version.
However, there is another hitter in the Guardians lineup who is just as impactful and important as Ramirez.
You can argue that Josh Naylor has been the best hitter on the team for quite a while, too.
He is on an insane pace at the moment, and his performance in his last 162 games is nothing short of amazing.
“Josh Naylor’s last 162 games.. .298-BA/39-2B/29-HR/13-SB.. 130-RBI !!! He also has 6-OAA”, Twitter personality Fuzzy (@fuzzyfromyt) tweeted.

Those numbers are unbelievable and show the world just how good Naylor is.
He can hit for average (near .300 in his last 162 games), has serious gap and over-the-fence power (39 doubles and 29 homers), and is at his best with runners on base and in scoring position.
This year, he is hitting .268, but has increased his power output and has 12 home runs after going yard on Tuesday.
Last year, he had 17 dingers in 121 games,
This season?
He is up to 12 in just 41 contests.
As the tweet states, his defense at first base is also very, very solid, with six Outs Above Average in his last 162 games.
He has even thrown in 13 steals for good measure.
Naylor is a sneaky multi-category contributor and an underrated star.
The numbers don’t lie.
