The Cleveland Guardians were able to defeat the Los Angeles Angels on consecutive days, Saturday and Sunday.
On Sunday, Jose Ramirez – who has been a bit cold to open the season – had a big game, with a stolen base and a home run.
He drove in two of his team’s four runs and that was enough to claim a 4-1 victory.
During the at-bat that resulted in his dinger, opposing pitcher Griffin Canning struggled to put him away.
He fouled off some tough pitches, and with the count at 3-2, he got a 94-mph fastball high and away.
You probably don’t need us to tell you what he did to that fastball.
You can see it for yourself:
If Hosey starts putting together an at bat where he's fouling off a bunch of pitches and he works the count full, you should just walk him.#ForTheLand pic.twitter.com/r1jZcICWdc

In the caption of the tweet, the Guardians were kind enough to warn the rest of the league about how to approach a tough at-bat with Ramirez.
“If Hosey starts putting together an at bat where he’s fouling off a bunch of pitches and he works the count full, you should just walk him,” they tweeted.
As hitters foul pitches off, they get more and more chances to see the pitcher’s entire repertoire.
Each pitch a hurler uses, he is increasingly likely to surrender a home run or a hard-hit ball, at least.
Ramirez, a top hitter with years performing at the highest of levels, knows what to do to put himself in a position to do damage to a pitch.
He hustled and fought until he saw a pitch of his liking, then proceeded to send it over the fence.
