Long-time Cleveland Guardians star Jose Ramirez continues to rack up accolades and climb up the franchise’s all-time statistical lists.
Ramirez got off to a rough start this season but has picked it up in the past few weeks to look more like the player Guardians fans have grown to love, and the recent hot streak has vaulted him up one elite list.
Ramirez is now 12th all-time in hits for Cleveland according to a recent post shared on Twitter by Bally Sports Cleveland, and with 1,354 hits Ramirez is closing in on the top 10.

Hal Trotsky is in the No. 11 spot with 1,364 hits, so Ramirez will pass him shortly before closing in on Terry Turner in the No. 10 spot with 1,472 hits.
He has a long way to go before reaching the No. 1 spot, which is occupied by Nap Lajoie with 2,052 hits.
It’s well within reach, as Ramirez is signed through 2028, so if he stays healthy he could easily eclipse Lajoie.
Ramirez has played in at least 150 games in six of the last seven seasons, not including the COVID-shortened 2020 season.
Cleveland is off to the best start in franchise history and did it without Ramirez producing at his usual level, but in order to keep it up, Ramirez will have to get hot and produce like he has in the past couple of weeks.
The Guardians are sitting atop the American League at 18-8 with Steven Kwan and Josh Naylor being the only regulars with an OPS over .800.
Let’s hope Ramirez stays hot and can eventually be this franchise’s all-time hits leader.
