The Cleveland Guardians are on their best run of the young 2026 season thus far and are currently on a four-game winning streak, and have won seven out of eight. The Guardians will aim to extend the streak to five against the Detroit Tigers on Wednesday and hopefully get Tanner Bibee his first win in the process after his 0-6 start.
The main reason why the wins are starting to pile up is that the offense is coming together in a way these fans haven’t seen in quite some time. It’s encouraging to see and provides hope that this isn’t just an unsustainable hot streak before things go back to how anemic things have been in recent years.
ESPN’s Buster Olney shared some stats that point to just how productive this lineup has been. The Guardians have been rolling for nearly a month, as evidenced by their .347 team on-base percentage since April 29th.
“This is the best Cleveland offense in years. Since April 29 (19 games): 13-6 record. The Guardians have a .347 OBP. They’re averaging 5.4 runs per game,” Olney posted on X.

The production is encouraging because you can’t point to just one member of the lineup for the uptick in production. Of course, the promotion and early performance of Travis Bazzana have been a huge boost as he is already hitting like one of the best second basemen in the game. Angel Martinez is having a breakout campaign, Brayan Rocchio has made notable improvements, Jose Ramirez might be starting to get hot, and Steven Kwan’s drop in the order is showing early signs of success as well.
With the pitching staff the Guardians have, this team could be special if the offense is scoring over five runs a game for any extended period of time. If Jose Ramirez and Steven Kwan are waking up as well, who knows how special this offense can be?
The encouraging part is that there is still room for improvement, and it will be fun to see what this team can do over the coming weeks as the weather warms up and the veterans hopefully get cooking.
