After an opening homestand that was at the mercy of some brutal conditions, the Cleveland Guardians will be back at Progressive Field this week, hoping for better weather. They are also rewarding their hearty fans with a special ticket offer for the series against the Baltimore Orioles.
After a rainout, a doubleheader, and a time change against the Chicago Cubs and Kansas City Royals a week ago, the Guardians will take on the Orioles beginning this Thursday evening. The four-game set continues Friday and Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon.
The Guardians have announced a ticket deal for that Orioles series, with a flash sale for $20 seats in the upper deck and bleachers.
“Upper level and bleacher tickets are now available for $20 for our upcoming series against the Orioles!” the Guardians posted on X.

Cleveland just lost its first series of the season to the Atlanta Braves on the road. The trip continues with three games at the St. Louis Cardinals before the Guardians return home.
The ticket offer could be an effort to boost attendance, as the Guardians have failed to draw more than 20,000 fans to any game other than the home opener. That can in large part be blamed on weather conditions that placed many of those games in near-freezing temperatures. Cleveland is currently ranked 24th in average attendance per game, after ranking 21st and 20th the prior two seasons, respectively.
There is plenty to draw fans out to the ballpark this season, with rookie Chase DeLauter and his catchy walk-up song just one of the highlights. Cleveland is also a first-place team again, tied with the Minnesota Twins atop the AL Central, thanks to a strong starting rotation.
Cleveland’s two best starters so far, Parker Messick and Grant Williams, are scheduled to take the mound against the Orioles, with Messick set to pitch on Thursday and Williams looking to extend his historic start to the season on Saturday. In addition, fans could get to see reliever Hunter Gaddis make his season home debut as he returns from a stint on the injured list.
The homestand wraps up with three games against the Houston Astros from Monday through Wednesday.
