Juan Brito is not easing into anything.
Two games into his major league career and the Cleveland infielder already has back to back multi hit performances, and the kind of quiet confidence that makes a manager look very smart for trusting his instincts when a roster spot opened up.

Back to back multi hit games to open a big league career is not something that happens every day. The transition from Triple-A to the majors is one of the most difficult adjustments in professional sports, and most players need time to find their footing. Brito has not needed that adjustment period. He has looked comfortable from his very first at bat.
It started on Tuesday when he stepped to the plate for the first time in a major league game and lined a double to left field. He went 2-4 that afternoon and delivered the RBI single in the ninth inning that set up Brayan Rocchio’s game-winning hit in Cleveland’s walk-off victory over Kansas City. On Wednesday, he picked up right where he left off, going 2-4 again with an RBI in a 10-2 blowout win that sent the Royals home having dropped two of three to the Guardians.
The Guardians made the right call choosing Brito over Travis Bazzana when Gabriel Arias landed on the injured list.
Cleveland heads into an off day Thursday before a six-game road trip to Atlanta and St. Louis. When they get back on the field, the expectation is that Brito will continue building on his impressive debut.
Two games. Two multi-hit performances. One player proving he belongs.
