The Cleveland Guardians believe in Stephen Vogt.
Stephen Vogt believes in the Cleveland Guardians.
That’s no small thing, because the first step for the organization to achieve its objectives or, better yet, exceed them, is players believing in themselves and in their teammates.
What are the organizational goals?
Well, Vogt said it himself: he wants to win the World Series.
“Our goals are to win a World Series. If you don’t show up to spring training wanting to win a World Series, you might as well not come,” he said, per Bally Sports Cleveland.
"We are capable of this, and we truly believe that."

“And I feel really fortunate coming into a first job where it was left in some pretty good hands,” he stated, clearly talking about the job done by his predecessor, Terry Francona.
Vogt also stressed the importance of taking advantage of that foundation of talent that the organization has and helping the players get even better.
The Guardians have a lot to prove after finishing third last year with a 76-86 record, only a year after being 92-70 and winning a playoff series.
Still, the pieces of the puzzle are there for Cleveland to put together.
It will be a challenge, for sure, but the team is good enough to fight for a postseason spot and from there, with the quality of their rotation and bullpen and with some key offensive breakouts, anything is possible.
