The Cleveland Guardians haven’t done much to improve their offense so far this offseason.
It was one of the things on the to-do list in the offseason, but so far, there haven’t been any major acquisitions outside of a lottery ticket (Estevan Florial) and faith in their prospects and young players to develop.
In other words, unless they can bring in a difference-maker like Jorge Soler or J.D. Martinez, Cleveland will depend on their own personnel to take a step forward and improve.
One of the players on that list is Tyler Freeman.
Freeman is 24, but has had two chances of establishing himself in MLB and hasn’t been able to do it.
Still, he is an extremely talented hitter with a history of performing in the minor leagues.
With work and patience, his time will come.
You can be sure he has been putting in the work, and has the drive and desire to succeed.
He posted a hype video with some of his best plays at the MLB level on Instagram.
“#Guardians INF Tyler Freeman hype video he posted on his Instagram account along with: ‘New year, bigger goals. Spring training ’24, let’s get it,'” Guardians Prospective tweeted.

In parts of two seasons, Freeman has slashed .243/.302/.339: nothing to write home about.
However, he has been much better in the minors, often hitting .300 or better.
He doesn’t have much in the way of home runs, but his hit-over-power game could still be valuable for the organization.
He is also not the best fielder, but does have versatility, being able to play second base, third base, shortstop, and even a little left field.
If he has a strong spring, he will likely have a big role in the infield.
