The Cleveland Guardians have the best third baseman in all of baseball. At the very least, Jose Ramirez is the best third baseman in the American League. The Dominican superstar has set a new standard for success among players in his position.
That was made even more evident in a post shared by Codify on X, which shows that he got the ultimate recognition at the position in six of the past nine years:

Ramirez is on a tier of his own when it comes to third basemen right now. He’s the most efficient hitter there, and his ability to get on base and swipe bags is second to none.
He’s also got that clutch gene and has made some timely hits in his career.
More than that, Ramirez is also an outstanding defensive player. At first glance, there are simply no weaknesses in his game.
Unfortunately, he has yet to get the nod and the recognition he’s so clearly earned as one of the best players in the league. He’s not the most vocal player, doesn’t play in a big market, and has had to co-exist with Shohei Ohtani first and Aaron Judge later in recent years, thus making it hard for him to win MVP.
Ramirez is a perennial MVP candidate, but he has yet to break through. More importantly, he hasn’t been given a chance to showcase his skills in the World Series, either.
At least, he’s still at the peak of his powers. He’s shown no signs of slowing down, and he’s aging like a fine wine.
Hopefully, he will have a chance to lead this team to the mountaintop before it’s all said and done, and he’s probably going to go down as the single greatest player in franchise history.
