The Cleveland Guardians are always looking to add young talent to their roster, and they’ve fared quite well with players from the Caribbean and South America.
Considering that, it’s not a surprise that they’re looking to add even more international players.
According to Guardians Prospective, Cleveland is the favorite to sign center field prospect Kayden Leer.
A native of Aruba, he’s training at Serra’s Cubbies Academy in the Dominican Republic and Fortuna Training Facility in Florida.

That should work wonders for his development, as he’s clearly committed to his career.
The Guardians will have to wait a while to acquire him, as he won’t be eligible to join an MLB organization until the 2028 international signing day.
The Guardians need some firepower for their outfield, but clearly, they can’t wait until Leer is ready.
Even if they end up signing him, he will need to clear plenty of hurdles and wait years before he’s even close to being ready to take the field in a Major League Baseball game.
In the meantime, the Guardians will try to fill that void with some of the talented young players already on their roster.
The team has always taken pride in finding and developing talent.
Given its long track record of success, Leer also could end up as an All-Star someday.
