The Cleveland Guardians beat the odds to make the playoffs again this season.
They weren’t supposed to go that far, especially after winning just nine games in June.
That’s why, competing with many other talented teams, they have the 14th-best odds to win the 2026 World Series.

Of course, a lot will depend on what the organization does this offseason.
The front office has never been known for its willingness to spend, but it’s not like it has to go out there and sign Kyle Schwarber or Kyle Tucker.
They need to find pieces to complement Jose Ramirez, starting with a proven slugger for the outfield.
The Guardians will rely heavily on their youth movement, with rookies C.J. Kayfus, Chase DeLauter, George Valera and Parker Messick set to play big roles.
They are a team that has already proven it can compete against anybody when at its best.
The starting rotation has the potential to be one of the best in baseball.
They also have an up-and-coming closer in Cade Smith, and arguably the best third baseman in the game in Ramirez.
Hopefully, the front office won’t rest on its laurels and will do what needs to be done to push the team to the next level.
