The Cleveland Guardians desperately needed to add more firepower to their outfield this season.
Fortunately for them, help might be on the way.
However, they may have to wait years before he gets there.
According to a report by Guardians Prospective, the team is currently leading the race to sign talented OF prospect Sebastian Espinoza.
The Caracas, Venezuela native is currently training with Luis Diaz at High Prospect Academy.
He won’t be eligible to sign his contract until the 1/15/26 International signing day.

Of course, the Guardians will have to address their outfield woes before.
There are no guarantees about any prospect, and while he may turn out to be a superstar, it will be years before the team finds that out.
The Guardians relied on their youth movement down the stretch this season, adding OFs George Valera, C.J. Kayfus, and even Chase DeLauter to their postseason roster.
They also have a legitimate superstar there in Steven Kwan.
But after failing to go far in the playoffs, and with Jose Ramirez’s latest comments on the front office, they might be forced to spend some big bucks to find more help in free agency.
In the meantime, Espinoza will continue to work on his game, hoping to get a chance with the team once he’s finally ready after clearing some hurdles.
The Guardians’ farm system is among the best in all of baseball, which is why it’s not much of a surprise to see so many high-end prospects eager to join the organization.
