The Cleveland Guardians are much more than a one-man show.
Nevertheless, they need their best players to step up, especially in the playoffs.
Notably, that’s why fans hope that Steven Kwan can get back on track after the All-Star outfielder wasn’t much of a factor down the stretch.
“He did finish his final plate appearance with a hit Sunday, so hopefully that gets him going for the [Detroit] Tigers series. Need 2024 playoff Kwan to show up,” Guardians Prospective wrote on X.

He struggled mightily at the plate in the final stretch of the regular season, but he’s just too good for that to continue much longer.
The Guardians play the Detroit Tigers in the AL Wild Card round, and though Cleveland dominated them in the final weeks and will be at home, it has to face ace Tarik Skubal in Game 1.
Skubal is a Cy Young Award winner, and he’s been successful against the Guardians in the past.
Kwan is arguably Cleveland’s second-most important player behind only third baseman Jose Ramirez.
Though it has found offensive production from multiple unsung heroes, it clearly needs Kwan to perform as he usually does.
The postseason is when good players can become known as great players.
Kwan is a team leader, and he knows how important he is to its success.
Now, with the World Series in sight, he hopefully won’t need much time to get back to form at the plate.
