The Cleveland Guardians, much like most MLB teams, are carefully assessing the free agent and trade markets while looking for improvements.
So far, they have brought in pitchers Scott Barlow and Ben Lively, plus backup catcher Austin Hedges.
Fans want more, of course, but the offseason is still relatively young and there are moves to be made.
In the meantime, existing Guardians on the roster have remained active.
Andres Gimenez is working out, Jose Ramirez recently played in the Dominican Republic, and Josh Naylor is getting some cage work in.
Guardians Prospective published a video of Naylor.

The lefty-hitting slugger is tracking his swings and getting the most possible information on them.
In the video, he is seen connecting on a ball, sending it a projected 395 feet with just over 101 mph of exit velocity.
There is a machine that provides the hitter and the team with more bits of data, such as launch angle.
Naylor has been one of the best and most consistent offensive weapons on the Guardians roster in the last two seasons.
He accumulated 28 doubles and 20 home runs in just 122 games played in 2022.
This past season, he reached 31 doubles and added 17 home runs and 97 RBI, with a career-best .842 OPS.
Together with Gimenez, Ramirez, and his brother Bo, Naylor represents a big, important part of the Guardians’ offensive core.
The team needs him to remain a .800+ OPS batter if they are going to challenge the Minnesota Twins for the AL Central title.
He can’t do it all by himself, though: he needs the rest of his teammates to step up.
