The Cleveland Guardians can still make the playoffs.
Of course, it won’t be easy, and it may not even be pretty, but it’s still possible.
With that in mind, Guardians fan account Always the Jake detailed all three potential paths to the postseason.

As pointed out, they can get to the wild card through the AL West, as they’re still 2.5 games behind the Houston Astros and 3.5 games behind the Seattle Mariners, but the Mariners and Astros still have to face one another three times this season.
They can also do it through the AL East, as they’re currently three games behind the Boston Red Sox, and they still need to face off with the Detroit Tigers three times.
Last but not least, they could technically still win the division.
As things stand now, they’re 6.5 games behind the Detroit Tigers in the AL Central, and they still have to meet up with the Tigers six more times this season.
Of course, it’s also worth noting that both the Mariners and Red Sox hold the tiebreakers over the Guardians.
That’s just to say that the picture is complicated but not impossible.
They just need to keep their foot on the gas and finish the campaign strong.
The margin for error is pretty narrow at this point in the season, but the good part is that they’re not the only team in this situation, and any miscue or setback from any of their competitors could leave the door wide open for them.
