The Cleveland Guardians are falling back to earth.
They couldn’t keep their momentum going, and it looks like the wheels are falling off right now.
That’s why analyst Brady Hamilton believes it’s officially time to call it quits.
Following another loss, he took to social media to wave the white flag on the season and urge them to call up prospects Travis Bazzana and George Valera.
Losers of 5 in a row.
2-8 in their last 10 games.
You just got swept by the damn Rangers.
This is officially me waving the 🏳️ saying it’s over. I was wrong.
This 2025 Guardians team is cooked.
It’s time to call up Valera and Bazzana and see what they got.#GuardsBall pic.twitter.com/6siLOFr19v

Perhaps this is excessive, as the Guardians are still in the running for an AL Wild Card spot.
They just need to get back on track and string a couple of wins together.
Nevertheless, this recent stretch is painfully reminiscent of the dreadful June that included a 10-game losing streak.
They’ve now fallen below .500 again, and while there’s still enough time to bounce back with 33 games left in the season, this stretch was a momentum killer.
This team has been quite resilient, and they’ve shown that they should never be counted out.
Then again, maybe they just ran out of gas.
As for Bazzana, an infielder, and Valera, an outfielder, it would make plenty of sense to give them their first taste of MLB action.
They’ve fared pretty well in the minors this season, and even if the team makes a late push for a playoff spot, they might have what it takes to contribute.
They will be in the mix to make the roster next season anyway, so giving them a head start might not be a bad idea.
